Alpha Update 1.9
Hello Everyone!
Here is update 1.9 Next update on itch.io will be in a few weeks, but the 2.0 update is already available on Patreon.
This build is focused around getting more systems implemented, and fleshing out Willow's skill tree. There's a new music track, some new SFX and audio adjustments. The forge is implemented in its most basic form, there are some new NPCs, a new weapon, a new armor, a new enemy, and some new resources.
A bunch of Winter systems have been implemented. These are far from complete, but they lay the groundwork for the next update which will really flesh out the winter gameplay.
There's a new alternate start available on the main menu, allowing you to start the game near the end of fall with Scout, Eleanor, and Willow already hired for anyone who wants to check out the newer content a little quicker.

Added
- New Music Track
- New SFX
- Combat art for Lucy's Fracture
- New Events (3 New Willow events and some story events)
- New NPCs (Bright + Fractured Dryad)
- New skill on Ellie's skill tree
- New skills on Willow's skill tree (almost all of them, just 1 missing now) - You can raise her affinity to max.
- New tool: Fey blooms. Restores some health / mana / stamina and cures status effects.
- New weapon: Fey Blades. An agility weapons with high crit modifier and the Mana Leech enchantment.
- New Enchantment: Mana Leech: Recover mana equal to your Attunement dice whenever you attack.
- New armor: Fey Armor. Strong armor with the Fey Touched enchantment.
- New Enchantment: Fey Touched: Gain 1 bonus die to all spell rolls.
- New Materials: Iron Ore, Coal.
- The Forge is available.
- You can forge materials using chopped wood and iron ore.
- You can forge coal using chopped wood.
- While the forge is running, your inn's temperature cannot fall below 40
- A small troupe of prospecting dwarves will visit the inn on weekends. Invest in their mining operations with food, drink, and gold - and they will bring you ores and coals for the forge on their next visit.
- Recoded the alert system that tells you when an inn project is ready
- New optional Winter Start for those who wish to test late game content-A new enemy type arrives in winter
Adjustments
- Reduced cost for 3 of Scout's skills.
- Reduced the chances for guests to show up in Fall, and severely reduced the chances for guests to show up in Winter
- Merchants only show up every other weekend in Winter
- Cost of goods from merchants during winter are increased
- Weather events / seasons will prevent some scenes from taking place outdoors
- Audio adjustments
- Willow's sex scenes are spaced out in her progression now

Thanks for the update! I didn't expect it halfway through the week. Willow's events are great so far. It's interesting to see how every character is tackling the fracture in different ways. The skills on Willow's tree are good. I was worried that they would be too specific to one type of play style or too spread out based on the bee skill and mana skill that could be seen in previous versions, but I think you found a nice balance. It's also nice to get some more food storage since I almost always use the cellar upgrade for alcohol storage. The new weapon and armor are cool looking and I like how unique they are.
I only ran into a few issues with this update. During the event with Willow trying to communicate with the fractured Dryad, she says "your lost" instead of "you're lost". Also, if there is foggy weather when this event triggers, it will skip the whole day after the battle with the fractured Dryad, which is a little upsetting since it's hard to plan around when the Willow event occurs.
The new notification for completed inn projects is a nice touch, but when I loaded a save with Willow already in the inn, my greenhouse always has the ! notification. I also don't know if this is related to this particular bug, but whenever I load my save, my progress on the heart-tree fey blooms, fey blades, and fey armor is reset.
Similar to this, reloading a save when something in the forge is ready delays the collection by a day. "Collect coal" becomes "Preparing coal" on reload even though the progress bar is full. Waiting a day allows you to collect coal as normal, but it can happens whenever the game is loaded.
Anyways, thanks for this update! It's fun to see how much the game is coming together, even though I haven't made it to winter yet. I look forward to Ailis in the next update. Good luck with everything!
Thank you! The issue with the greenhouse notification is fixed in 2.2 - but thank you for the spot! The forge collection is a known bug and I will be getting that fixed soon. Also appreciate the typo spot.
The skipping the whole day with Willow's event is not intended, I'll check on that one interaction, thank you.

Thanks for the reply! I finally got to winter and noticed a few things, so I thought I would post again.
The miners can make your resources go into the negatives if you are low on food or alcohol when giving them some.
Night patrols are still possible during a blizzard even though day patrols are disabled. It seems like a small inconsistency, unless Scout is just that good at navigating.
When purchasing supplies from the guest menu during winter, the prices listed and applied are the summer/fall prices and not the inflated prices.
Also, how do you encounter the bright and fractured dryad npc? I went through all fall and I don't think I encountered them. Is it just an enemy encounter or am I missing something?

The whole patrol system is getting a rework very soon, but thanks for the spot.
There is a Dryad NPC who shows up in one of Willow's quests, I think that's what you are talking about! Otherwise Dryads show up as regular enemies depending on your level and the time of day you are patrolling.
Sorry I got confused with names. I just realized that Bright is the name of the Dwarf with the mining operation. The way I read it in the change log made me think I was missing a Bright Dryad Npc and missing some part of a quest with Willow lol. I did encounter the fractured Dryad and got all the events with Willow, but I thought I was missing something beyond that because I didn't remember that guy gave his name.
